North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Risk and Resource Model Consultation

The recently appointed Commissioner has announced a 3-month consultation period on how residents wish the Police and Fire Services to be run in North Yorkshire.  At the present time, this can only be completed online.  Your Town Council will lobby the Commissioner’s office for paper copies for those that do not have internet access and if these are received we shall let you know.

Zoë Metcalfe, your Police Fire and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire and York, is currently considering proposals for the Fire Service’s new Risk and Resource Model, which sets out how the Service would seek to deploy its people, equipment, and resources. 


The proposed changes aim to ensure communities get the services they need to help them be safe and feel safe in North Yorkshire and the City of York. 


Commissioner Zoë would like the public’s views on these proposed changes before she decides on whether to implement them and so is encouraging everyone to visit for more information and to and complete the survey.
