Age UK North Yorkshire and Darlington are currently working with National Energy Action on a government led project supporting the role out of Smart Meters.

There have been more than 28 million smart meters installed in homes across the UK but only 10 % of these are in the homes of people over 65 .
We are aiming to raise awareness within this group and help to explore some of the barriers or concerns this age group have.
The aim now is that all homes will be offered a smart meter by the end of 2025 .
