Dear residents
In my last message to you as Mayor I reported that our community had enjoyed a weekend of celebrations to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 2 and it is with great sadness that so soon after this event we are now mourning her death.
Queen Elizabeth has been the longest reigning monarch in British history and has been a rock to this country, she has provided us with stability and strength through difficult times.
I would like to feel that we can celebrate her great lifetime of service to to our wonderful country as well as mourning her sad loss.
A book of condolence is available in St. Alkelda’s church for residents who wish to sign it.
