North Yorkshire County Council has announced this initiative:
As part of our efforts to support local businesses and communities during the Covid 19 outbreak, North Yorkshire County Council has set up a website called Buy Local www.northyorks.gov.uk/buy-local
It’s a platform to provide free advertising for businesses to connect them with customers, and vice versa. Our aim is to make it a useful resource for now and beyond the Covid 19 outbreak. There are over 500 businesses registered so far, from butchers and bakers, to electricians and solicitors!
Please can you can help us spread the word about Buy Local in your community?
We’d really appreciate it if you could:
- Print and display the attached poster prominently somewhere appropriate
- Share the poster on social media, and share our Buy Local posts – follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin @northyorkscc
- Spread the word in any other ways you can – via parish communications, community newsletters, your website or any other methods available to you.
