A684, TEMPLE BANK TO WEST WITTON, SWINITHWAITE AND A684, Gale Bank Junction to West Witton
This letter is to inform you that Lane Rental Services on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council, will be undertaking carriageway patching works at the above two locations.
The first phase of works will commence on Wednesday 01 February 2023 between the junction of the B6160 with the A684 at Temple Bank, eastwards to the speed limit signs west of West Witton. The works will be carried out under a full road closure between the hours of 09:30 – 15:30 for a period of three weekdays.
The second phase of works will commence on Monday 06 February 2023 between Gale Bank Junction and the speed limit signs east of West Witton. The works will be carried out under a full road closure between the hours of 09:30 – 15:30 for a period of two weekdays.
Plans showing the extent of the works in each location are enclosed for your information. All businesses within the closure will be open as usual with on-site personnel assisting with access to businesses and properties.
Advance warning signage advising of the works will be installed on site shortly. Whilst the works are in progress, fully signed diversion will be in place. Please be advised there may be extended periods when access will not be possible due to the nature of the works and physical constraints of the site. Pedestrian and Emergency Services access will be maintained.
Please note, this work is part of an extensive programme and therefore, some adjustment to this start date or the duration of the works may be necessary should unforeseen circumstances such as significant weather events or emergencies on the highway network arise.
To ensure the delivery of these works we request your assistance in the following ways:
- Please contact the Customer Service Centre on 01609 780780, to identify any special access needs you may have prior to work commencing.
- Please make arrangements to store your vehicle at an alternative location
- Please co-operate and comply with any instructions issued by the traffic management operatives and take extra care whilst within the works area.
