Sorry to already be talking about taking it down, however RDC has announced its arrangements for tree collection and disposal at recycling centres.
Christmas trees – collection service for garden waste subscribers
If you currently subscribe to the garden waste collection service, you will need to book your special Christmas collection in advance to have your Christmas tree picked up and your green bin emptied. This collection will take place between 11-15 January 2021. Any Christmas trees must be placed at the kerbside next to your green bin by 6.30 am on your confirmed collection day.
You can book this collection service online from 7 December until 5.15pm on 6 January 2021.

Check RDC’s Christmas tree collection dates page to view the dates of when this collection service will be taking place in your area. Once you have booked your slot for this collection online you will automatically receive an email confirming your collection day.
Recycle your Christmas trees at our recycling sites
If you do not subscribe to RDC’s garden waste service, Christmas trees can be taken to a number of recycling sites. Trees must only be taken to the following sites and should be left before the sites are cleared of the trees on the dates stated below:

Hawes, Askrigg and Bainbridge recycling sites
Tuesday 12 January 2021
Leyburn, Newton Le Willows and Hunton recycling sites
Wednesday 13 January 2021
Richmond, Langthwaite, Muker and Reeth recycling sites

Brompton on Swale, Tesco at Catterick and Colburn Lorry Park recycling sites
