Whilst you are entitled to park here, as there are no formal parking restrictions imposed by the Town Council or NYCC (the Highways Authority in this area) from time to time some motorists block the pavement and / or restrict access by other road users.
This is a narrow but frequently used road; as well as inconveniencing pedestrians, vehicles may obstruct access by residents and larger vehicles requiring access along Grove Terrace, Back Lane and Castle Hill, including delivery vans, agricultural access to the meadow, bin lorries and emergency vehicles.
Persistent parking blocking this access will be reported by the Town Council to the Police, as it may breach the Highway Code.
